설교:출애굽과 홍해의 기적

(출 14:14, 개정) 여호와께서 너희를 위하여 싸우시리니 너희는 가만히 있을지니라

(출 14:15, 개정) 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 너는 어찌하여 내게 부르짖느냐 이스라엘 자손에게 명령하여 앞으로 나아가게 하고

(출 14:16, 개정) 지팡이를 들고 손을 바다 위로 내밀어 그것이 갈라지게 하라 이스라엘 자손이 바다 가운데서 마른 땅으로 행하리라

(출 14:17, 개정) 내가 애굽 사람들의 마음을 완악하게 할 것인즉 그들이 그 뒤를 따라 들어갈 것이라 내가 바로와 그의 모든 군대와 그의 병거와 마병으로 말미암아 영광을 얻으리니

(출 14:18, 개정) 내가 바로와 그의 병거와 마병으로 말미암아 영광을 얻을 때에야 애굽 사람들이 나를 여호와인 줄 알리라 하시더니

(출 14:19, 개정) 이스라엘 진 앞에 가던 하나님의 사자가 그들의 뒤로 옮겨 가매 구름 기둥도 앞에서 그 뒤로 옮겨

(출 14:20, 개정) 애굽 진과 이스라엘 진 사이에 이르러 서니 저쪽에는 구름과 흑암이 있고 이쪽에는 밤이 밝으므로 밤새도록 저쪽이 이쪽에 가까이 못하였더라

(출 14:21, 개정) 모세가 바다 위로 손을 내밀매 여호와께서 큰 동풍이 밤새도록 바닷물을 물러가게 하시니 물이 갈라져 바다가 마른 땅이 된지라

(출 14:22, 개정) 이스라엘 자손이 바다 가운데를 육지로 걸어가고 물은 그들의 좌우에 벽이 되니

(출 14:23, 개정) 애굽 사람들과 바로의 말들, 병거들과 그 마병들이 다 그들의 뒤를 추격하여 바다 가운데로 들어오는지라

(출 14:24, 개정) 새벽에 여호와께서 불과 구름 기둥 가운데서 애굽 군대를 보시고 애굽 군대를 어지럽게 하시며

(출 14:25, 개정) 그들의 병거 바퀴를 벗겨서 달리기가 어렵게 하시니 애굽 사람들이 이르되 이스라엘 앞에서 우리가 도망하자 여호와가 그들을 위하여 싸워 애굽 사람들을 치는도다

(출 14:26, 개정) 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 네 손을 바다 위로 내밀어 물이 애굽 사람들과 그들의 병거들과 마병들 위에 다시 흐르게 하라 하시니

(출 14:27, 개정) 모세가 곧 손을 바다 위로 내밀매 새벽이 되어 바다의 힘이 회복된지라 애굽 사람들이 물을 거슬러 도망하나 여호와께서 애굽 사람들을 바다 가운데 엎으시니

(출 14:28, 개정) 물이 다시 흘러 병거들과 기병들을 덮되 그들의 뒤를 따라 바다에 들어간 바로의 군대를 다 덮으니 하나도 남지 아니하였더라

(출 14:29, 개정) 그러나 이스라엘 자손은 바다 가운데를 육지로 행하였고 물이 좌우에 벽이 되었더라

(출 14:30, 개정) 그 날에 여호와께서 이같이 이스라엘을 애굽 사람의 손에서 구원하시매 이스라엘이 바닷가에서 애굽 사람들이 죽어 있는 것을 보았더라

(출 14:31, 개정) 이스라엘이 여호와께서 애굽 사람들에게 행하신 그 큰 능력을 보았으므로 백성이 여호와를 경외하며 여호와와 그의 종 모세를 믿었더라

(Ex 14:14, NIV) The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."

(Ex 14:15, NIV) Then the LORD said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.

(Ex 14:16, NIV) Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.

(Ex 14:17, NIV) I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them. And I will gain glory through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen.

(Ex 14:18, NIV) The Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen."

(Ex 14:19, NIV) Then the angel of God, who had been traveling in front of Israel's army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from in front and stood behind them,

(Ex 14:20, NIV) coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness to the one side and light to the other side; so neither went near the other all night long.

(Ex 14:21, NIV) Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided,

(Ex 14:22, NIV) and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

(Ex 14:23, NIV) The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh's horses and chariots and horsemen followed them into the sea.

(Ex 14:24, NIV) During the last watch of the night the LORD looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion.

(Ex 14:25, NIV) He made the wheels of their chariots come off so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, "Let's get away from the Israelites! The LORD is fighting for them against Egypt."

(Ex 14:26, NIV) Then the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen."

(Ex 14:27, NIV) Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea went back to its place. The Egyptians were fleeing toward it, and the LORD swept them into the sea.

(Ex 14:28, NIV) The water flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen--the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived.

(Ex 14:29, NIV) But the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

(Ex 14:30, NIV) That day the LORD saved Israel from the hands of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead on the shore.

(Ex 14:31, NIV) And when the Israelites saw the great power the LORD displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the LORD and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.
