설교:기도에 응답하시는 하나님

(사 38:1, 개정) 그 때에 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 되니 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야가 나아가 그에게 이르되 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 너는 네 집에 유언하라 네가 죽고 살지 못하리라 하셨나이다 하니

(사 38:2, 개정) 히스기야가 얼굴을 벽으로 향하고 여호와께 기도하여

(사 38:3, 개정) 이르되 여호와여 구하오니 내가 주 앞에서 진실과 전심으로 행하며 주의 목전에서 선하게 행한 것을 기억하옵소서 하고 히스기야가 심히 통곡하니

(사 38:4, 개정) 이에 여호와의 말씀이 이사야에게 임하여 이르시되

(사 38:5, 개정) 너는 가서 히스기야에게 이르기를 네 조상 다윗의 하나님 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 내가 네 기도를 들었고 네 눈물을 보았노라 내가 네 수한에 십오 년을 더하고

(사 38:6, 개정) 너와 이 성을 앗수르 왕의 손에서 건져내겠고 내가 또 이 성을 보호하리라

(사 38:7, 개정) 이는 여호와께로 말미암는 너를 위한 징조이니 곧 여호와께서 하신 말씀을 그가 이루신다는 증거이니라

(사 38:8, 개정) 보라 아하스의 해시계에 나아갔던 해 그림자를 뒤로 십 도를 물러가게 하리라 하셨다 하라 하시더니 이에 해시계에 나아갔던 해의 그림자가 십 도를 물러가니라

(Is 38:1, NIV) In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the LORD says： Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover."

(Is 38:2, NIV) Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,

(Is 38:3, NIV) "Remember, O LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

(Is 38:4, NIV) Then the word of the LORD came to Isaiah：

(Is 38:5, NIV) "Go and tell Hezekiah, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says： I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life.

(Is 38:6, NIV) And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city.

(Is 38:7, NIV) "'This is the LORD'S sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised：

(Is 38:8, NIV) I will make the shadow cast by the sun go back the ten steps it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.'" So the sunlight went back the ten steps it had gone down.
