(눅 14:1, 개정) 안식일에 예수께서 한 바리새인 지도자의 집에 떡 잡수시러 들어가시니 그들이 엿보고 있더라

(눅 14:2, 개정) 주의 앞에 수종병 든 한 사람이 있는지라

(눅 14:3, 개정) 예수께서 대답하여 율법교사들과 바리새인들에게 이르시되 안식일에 병 고쳐 주는 것이 합당하냐 아니하냐

(눅 14:4, 개정) 그들이 잠잠하거늘 예수께서 그 사람을 데려다가 고쳐 보내시고

(눅 14:5, 개정) 또 그들에게 이르시되 너희 중에 누가 그 아들이나 소가 우물에 빠졌으면 안식일에라도 곧 끌어내지 않겠느냐 하시니

(눅 14:6, 개정) 그들이 이에 대하여 대답하지 못하니라

(Lk 14:1, NIV) One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was being carefully watched.

(Lk 14:2, NIV) There in front of him was a man suffering from dropsy.

(Lk 14:3, NIV) Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?"

(Lk 14:4, NIV) But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him away.

(Lk 14:5, NIV) Then he asked them, "If one of you has a son or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull him out?"

(Lk 14:6, NIV) And they had nothing to say.
