성경:마태복음 1장 18절 – 2장 12절(신약1)
설교:우리의 왕 되신 예수그리스도는 요셉의 아내 마리아에게서 태어났다.
(마 1:18, 개정) 예수 그리스도의 나심은 이러하니라 그의 어머니 마리아가 요셉과 약혼하고 동거하기 전에 성령으로 잉태된 것이 나타났더니
(마 1:19, 개정) 그의 남편 요셉은 의로운 사람이라 그를 드러내지 아니하고 가만히 끊고자 하여
(마 1:20, 개정) 이 일을 생각할 때에 주의 사자가 현몽하여 이르되 다윗의 자손 요셉아 네 아내 마리아 데려오기를 무서워하지 말라 그에게 잉태된 자는 성령으로 된 것이라
(마 1:21, 개정) 아들을 낳으리니 이름을 예수라 하라 이는 그가 자기 백성을 그들의 죄에서 구원할 자이심이라 하니라
(마 1:22, 개정) 이 모든 일이 된 것은 주께서 선지자로 하신 말씀을 이루려 하심이니 이르시되
(마 1:23, 개정) 보라 처녀가 잉태하여 아들을 낳을 것이요 그의 이름은 임마누엘이라 하리라 하셨으니 이를 번역한즉 하나님이 우리와 함께 계시다 함이라
(마 1:24, 개정) 요셉이 잠에서 깨어 일어나 주의 사자의 분부대로 행하여 그의 아내를 데려왔으나
(마 1:25, 개정) 아들을 낳기까지 동침하지 아니하더니 낳으매 이름을 예수라 하니라
(마 2:1, 개정) 헤롯 왕 때에 예수께서 유대 베들레헴에서 나시매 동방으로부터 박사들이 예루살렘에 이르러 말하되
(마 2:2, 개정) 유대인의 왕으로 나신 이가 어디 계시냐 우리가 동방에서 그의 별을 보고 그에게 경배하러 왔노라 하니
(마 2:3, 개정) 헤롯 왕과 온 예루살렘이 듣고 소동한지라
(마 2:4, 개정) 왕이 모든 대제사장과 백성의 서기관들을 모아 그리스도가 어디서 나겠느냐 물으니
(마 2:5, 개정) 이르되 유대 베들레헴이오니 이는 선지자로 이렇게 기록된 바
(마 2:6, 개정) 또 유대 땅 베들레헴아 너는 유대 고을 중에서 가장 작지 아니하도다 네게서 한 다스리는 자가 나와서 내 백성 이스라엘의 목자가 되리라 하였음이니이다
(마 2:7, 개정) 이에 헤롯이 가만히 박사들을 불러 별이 나타난 때를 자세히 묻고
(마 2:8, 개정) 베들레헴으로 보내며 이르되 가서 아기에 대하여 자세히 알아보고 찾거든 내게 고하여 나도 가서 그에게 경배하게 하라
(마 2:9, 개정) 박사들이 왕의 말을 듣고 갈새 동방에서 보던 그 별이 문득 앞서 인도하여 가다가 아기 있는 곳 위에 머물러 서 있는지라
(마 2:10, 개정) 그들이 별을 보고 매우 크게 기뻐하고 기뻐하더라
(마 2:11, 개정) 집에 들어가 아기와 그의 어머니 마리아가 함께 있는 것을 보고 엎드려 아기께 경배하고 보배합을 열어 황금과 유향과 몰약을 예물로 드리니라
(마 2:12, 개정) 그들은 꿈에 헤롯에게로 돌아가지 말라 지시하심을 받아 다른 길로 고국에 돌아가니라
(Mt 1:18, NIV) This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about： His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
(Mt 1:19, NIV) Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
(Mt 1:20, NIV) But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
(Mt 1:21, NIV) She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
(Mt 1:22, NIV) All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet：
(Mt 1:23, NIV) "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"--which means, "God with us."
(Mt 1:24, NIV) When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.
(Mt 1:25, NIV) But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
(Mt 2:1, NIV) After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem
(Mt 2:2, NIV) and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."
(Mt 2:3, NIV) When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
(Mt 2:4, NIV) When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.
(Mt 2:5, NIV) "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written：
(Mt 2:6, NIV) "'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.'"
(Mt 2:7, NIV) Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.
(Mt 2:8, NIV) He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."
(Mt 2:9, NIV) After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.
(Mt 2:10, NIV) When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.
(Mt 2:11, NIV) On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.
(Mt 2:12, NIV) And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
