성경/ 요한복음 5장 1절-18절(신약 149)

(요 5:1, 개정) 그 후에 유대인의 명절이 되어 예수께서 예루살렘에 올라가시니라

(요 5:2, 개정) 예루살렘에 있는 양문 곁에 히브리 말로 베데스다라 하는 못이 있는데 거기 행각 다섯이 있고

(요 5:3, 개정) 그 안에 많은 병자, 맹인, 다리 저는 사람, 혈기 마른 사람들이 누워 [물의 움직임을 기다리니

(요 5:4, 개정) 이는 천사가 가끔 못에 내려와 물을 움직이게 하는데 움직인 후에 먼저 들어가는 자는 어떤 병에 걸렸든지 낫게 됨이러라]

(요 5:5, 개정) 거기 서른여덟 해 된 병자가 있더라

(요 5:6, 개정) 예수께서 그 누운 것을 보시고 병이 벌써 오래된 줄 아시고 이르시되 네가 낫고자 하느냐

(요 5:7, 개정) 병자가 대답하되 주여 물이 움직일 때에 나를 못에 넣어 주는 사람이 없어 내가 가는 동안에 다른 사람이 먼저 내려가나이다

(요 5:8, 개정) 예수께서 이르시되 일어나 네 자리를 들고 걸어가라 하시니

(요 5:9, 개정) 그 사람이 곧 나아서 자리를 들고 걸어가니라 이 날은 안식일이니

(요 5:10, 개정) 유대인들이 병 나은 사람에게 이르되 안식일인데 네가 자리를 들고 가는 것이 옳지 아니하니라

(요 5:11, 개정) 대답하되 나를 낫게 한 그가 자리를 들고 걸어가라 하더라 하니

(요 5:12, 개정) 그들이 묻되 너에게 자리를 들고 걸어가라 한 사람이 누구냐 하되

(요 5:13, 개정) 고침을 받은 사람은 그가 누구인지 알지 못하니 이는 거기 사람이 많으므로 예수께서 이미 피하셨음이라

(요 5:14, 개정) 그 후에 예수께서 성전에서 그 사람을 만나 이르시되 보라 네가 나았으니 더 심한 것이 생기지 않게 다시는 죄를 범하지 말라 하시니

(요 5:15, 개정) 그 사람이 유대인들에게 가서 자기를 고친 이는 예수라 하니라

(요 5:16, 개정) 그러므로 안식일에 이러한 일을 행하신다 하여 유대인들이 예수를 박해하게 된지라

(요 5:17, 개정) 예수께서 그들에게 이르시되 내 아버지께서 이제까지 일하시니 나도 일한다 하시매

(요 5:18, 개정) 유대인들이 이로 말미암아 더욱 예수를 죽이고자 하니 이는 안식일을 범할 뿐만 아니라 하나님을 자기의 친 아버지라 하여 자기를 하나님과 동등으로 삼으심이러라

(Jn 5:1, NIV) Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews.

(Jn 5:2, NIV) Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades.

(Jn 5:3, NIV) Here a great number of disabled people used to lie--the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.

(Jn 5:4, NIV) From time to time an angel of the Lord would come down and stir up the waters. The first one into the pool after each such disturbance would be cured of whatever disease he had.

(Jn 5:5, NIV) One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.

(Jn 5:6, NIV) When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"

(Jn 5:7, NIV) "Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me."

(Jn 5:8, NIV) Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk."

(Jn 5:9, NIV) At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,

(Jn 5:10, NIV) and so the Jews said to the man who had been healed, "It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat."

(Jn 5:11, NIV) But he replied, "The man who made me well said to me, 'Pick up your mat and walk.'"

(Jn 5:12, NIV) So they asked him, "Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?"

(Jn 5:13, NIV) The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.

(Jn 5:14, NIV) Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you."

(Jn 5:15, NIV) The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.

(Jn 5:16, NIV) So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews persecuted him.

(Jn 5:17, NIV) Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working."

(Jn 5:18, NIV) For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
