설교:하나님의 웃으심
(단 1:8, 개정) 다니엘은 뜻을 정하여 왕의 음식과 그가 마시는 포도주로 자기를 더럽히지 아니하리라 하고 자기를 더럽히지 아니하도록 환관장에게 구하니
(단 1:9, 개정) 하나님이 다니엘로 하여금 환관장에게 은혜와 긍휼을 얻게 하신지라
(단 1:10, 개정) 환관장이 다니엘에게 이르되 내가 내 주 왕을 두려워하노라 그가 너희 먹을 것과 너희 마실 것을 지정하셨거늘 너희의 얼굴이 초췌하여 같은 또래의 소년들만 못한 것을 그가 보게 할 것이 무엇이냐 그렇게 되면 너희 때문에 내 머리가 왕 앞에서 위태롭게 되리라 하니라
(단 1:11, 개정) 환관장이 다니엘과 하나냐와 미사엘과 아사랴를 감독하게 한 자에게 다니엘이 말하되
(단 1:12, 개정) 청하오니 당신의 종들을 열흘 동안 시험하여 채식을 주어 먹게 하고 물을 주어 마시게 한 후에
(단 1:13, 개정) 당신 앞에서 우리의 얼굴과 왕의 음식을 먹는 소년들의 얼굴을 비교하여 보아서 당신이 보는 대로 종들에게 행하소서 하매
(단 1:14, 개정) 그가 그들의 말을 따라 열흘 동안 시험하더니
(단 1:15, 개정) 열흘 후에 그들의 얼굴이 더욱 아름답고 살이 더욱 윤택하여 왕의 음식을 먹는 다른 소년들보다 더 좋아 보인지라
(단 1:16, 개정) 그리하여 감독하는 자가 그들에게 지정된 음식과 마실 포도주를 제하고 채식을 주니라
(단 1:17, 개정) 하나님이 이 네 소년에게 학문을 주시고 모든 서적을 깨닫게 하시고 지혜를 주셨으니 다니엘은 또 모든 환상과 꿈을 깨달아 알더라
(단 1:18, 개정) 왕이 말한 대로 그들을 불러들일 기한이 찼으므로 환관장이 그들을 느부갓네살 앞으로 데리고 가니
(단 1:19, 개정) 왕이 그들과 말하여 보매 무리 중에 다니엘과 하나냐와 미사엘과 아사랴와 같은 자가 없으므로 그들을 왕 앞에 서게 하고
(단 1:20, 개정) 왕이 그들에게 모든 일을 묻는 중에 그 지혜와 총명이 온 나라 박수와 술객보다 십 배나 나은 줄을 아니라
(단 1:21, 개정) 다니엘은 고레스 왕 원년까지 있으니라
(시 2:4, 개정) 하늘에 계신 이가 웃으심이여 주께서 그들을 비웃으시리로다
(Dn 1:8, NIV) But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.
(Dn 1:9, NIV) Now God had caused the official to show favor and sympathy to Daniel,
(Dn 1:10, NIV) but the official told Daniel, "I am afraid of my lord the king, who has assigned your food and drink. Why should he see you looking worse than the other young men your age? The king would then have my head because of you."
(Dn 1:11, NIV) Daniel then said to the guard whom the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah,
(Dn 1:12, NIV) "Please test your servants for ten days： Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink.
(Dn 1:13, NIV) Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see."
(Dn 1:14, NIV) So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.
(Dn 1:15, NIV) At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food.
(Dn 1:16, NIV) So the guard took away their choice food and the wine they were to drink and gave them vegetables instead.
(Dn 1:17, NIV) To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds.
(Dn 1:18, NIV) At the end of the time set by the king to bring them in, the chief official presented them to Nebuchadnezzar.
(Dn 1:19, NIV) The king talked with them, and he found none equal to Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah; so they entered the king's service.
(Dn 1:20, NIV) In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.
(Dn 1:21, NIV) And Daniel remained there until the first year of King Cyrus.
(Ps 2:4, NIV) The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.
