성경:민수기 24장1절-14절(구약237)

설교:성령에 압도된 발람은 이스라엘의 영광과 발락의 곤경을 말한다.

(민 24:1, 개정) 발람이 자기가 이스라엘을 축복하는 것을 여호와께서 선히 여기심을 보고 전과 같이 점술을 쓰지 아니하고 그의 낯을 광야로 향하여

(민 24:2, 개정) 눈을 들어 이스라엘이 그 지파대로 천막 친 것을 보는데 그 때에 하나님의 영이 그 위에 임하신지라

(민 24:3, 개정) 그가 예언을 전하여 말하되 브올의 아들 발람이 말하며 눈을 감았던 자가 말하며

(민 24:4, 개정) 하나님의 말씀을 듣는 자, 전능자의 환상을 보는 자, 엎드려서 눈을 뜬 자가 말하기를

(민 24:5, 개정) 야곱이여 네 장막들이, 이스라엘이여 네 거처들이 어찌 그리 아름다운고

(민 24:6, 개정) 그 벌어짐이 골짜기 같고 강 가의 동산 같으며 여호와께서 심으신 침향목들 같고 물 가의 백향목들 같도다

(민 24:7, 개정) 그 물통에서는 물이 넘치겠고 그 씨는 많은 물 가에 있으리로다 그의 왕이 아각보다 높으니 그의 나라가 흥왕하리로다

(민 24:8, 개정) 하나님이 그를 애굽에서 인도하여 내셨으니 그 힘이 들소와 같도다 그의 적국을 삼키고 그들의 뼈를 꺾으며 화살로 쏘아 꿰뚫으리로다

(민 24:9, 개정) 꿇어 앉고 누움이 수사자와 같고 암사자와도 같으니 일으킬 자 누구이랴 너를 축복하는 자마다 복을 받을 것이요 너를 저주하는 자마다 저주를 받을지로다

(민 24:10, 개정) 발락이 발람에게 노하여 손뼉을 치며 말하되 내가 그대를 부른 것은 내 원수를 저주하라는 것이어늘 그대가 이같이 세 번 그들을 축복하였도다

(민 24:11, 개정) 그러므로 그대는 이제 그대의 곳으로 달아나라 내가 그대를 높여 심히 존귀하게 하기로 뜻하였더니 여호와께서 그대를 막아 존귀하지 못하게 하셨도다

(민 24:12, 개정) 발람이 발락에게 이르되 당신이 내게 보낸 사신들에게 내가 말하여 이르지 아니하였나이까

(민 24:13, 개정) 가령 발락이 그 집에 가득한 은금을 내게 줄지라도 나는 여호와의 말씀을 어기고 선악간에 내 마음대로 행하지 못하고 여호와께서 말씀하신 대로 말하리라 하지 아니하였나이까

(민 24:14, 개정) 이제 나는 내 백성에게로 돌아가거니와 들으소서 내가 이 백성이 후일에 당신의 백성에게 어떻게 할지를 당신에게 말하리이다 하고

(Nm 24:1, NIV) Now when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he did not resort to sorcery as at other times, but turned his face toward the desert.

(Nm 24:2, NIV) When Balaam looked out and saw Israel encamped tribe by tribe, the Spirit of God came upon him

(Nm 24:3, NIV) and he uttered his oracle： "The oracle of Balaam son of Beor, the oracle of one whose eye sees clearly,

(Nm 24:4, NIV) the oracle of one who hears the words of God, who sees a vision from the Almighty, who falls prostrate, and whose eyes are opened：

(Nm 24:5, NIV) "How beautiful are your tents, O Jacob, your dwelling places, O Israel!

(Nm 24:6, NIV) "Like valleys they spread out, like gardens beside a river, like aloes planted by the LORD, like cedars beside the waters.

(Nm 24:7, NIV) Water will flow from their buckets; their seed will have abundant water. "Their king will be greater than Agag; their kingdom will be exalted.

(Nm 24:8, NIV) "God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox. They devour hostile nations and break their bones in pieces; with their arrows they pierce them.

(Nm 24:9, NIV) Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness--who dares to rouse them? "May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!"

(Nm 24:10, NIV) Then Balak's anger burned against Balaam. He struck his hands together and said to him, "I summoned you to curse my enemies, but you have blessed them these three times.

(Nm 24:11, NIV) Now leave at once and go home! I said I would reward you handsomely, but the LORD has kept you from being rewarded."

(Nm 24:12, NIV) Balaam answered Balak, "Did I not tell the messengers you sent me,

(Nm 24:13, NIV) 'Even if Balak gave me his palace filled with silver and gold, I could not do anything of my own accord, good or bad, to go beyond the command of the LORD--and I must say only what the LORD says'?

(Nm 24:14, NIV) Now I am going back to my people, but come, let me warn you of what this people will do to your people in days to come."
