설교:주의 집에 사는 자들의 복

(민 21:4, 새번역) 그들은 에돔 땅을 돌아서 가려고, 호르 산에서부터 홍해 길을 따라 나아갔다. 길을 걷는 동안에 백성들은 마음이 몹시 조급하였다.

(민 21:5, 새번역) 그래서 백성들은 하나님과 모세를 원망하였다. "어찌하여 우리를 이집트에서 데리고 나왔습니까? 이 광야에서 우리를 죽이려고 합니까? 먹을 것도 없습니다. 마실 것도 없습니다. 이 보잘것없는 음식은 이제 진저리가 납니다."

(민 21:6, 새번역) 그러자 주님께서 백성들에게 불뱀을 보내셨다. 그것들이 사람을 무니, 이스라엘 백성이 많이 죽었다.

(민 21:7, 새번역) 백성이 모세에게 와서 간구하였다. "주님과 어른을 원망함으로써 우리가 죄를 지었습니다. 이 뱀이 우리에게서 물러가게 해 달라고 주님께 기도하여 주시기 바랍니다." 그리하여 모세가 백성들을 살려 달라고 기도하였다.

(민 21:8, 새번역) 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "너는 불뱀을 만들어 기둥 위에 달아 놓아라. 물린 사람은 누구든지 그것을 보면 살 것이다."

(민 21:9, 새번역) 그리하여 모세는 구리로 뱀을 만들어서 그것을 기둥 위에 달아 놓았다. 뱀이 사람을 물었을 때에, 물린 사람은 구리로 만든 그 뱀을 쳐다보면 살아났다.

(Nm 21:4, NIV) They traveled from Mount Hor along the route to the Red Sea, to go around Edom. But the people grew impatient on the way;

(Nm 21:5, NIV) they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the desert? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!"

(Nm 21:6, NIV) Then the LORD sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died.

(Nm 21:7, NIV) The people came to Moses and said, "We sinned when we spoke against the LORD and against you. Pray that the LORD will take the snakes away from us." So Moses prayed for the people.

(Nm 21:8, NIV) The LORD said to Moses, "Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live."

(Nm 21:9, NIV) So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived.
